Thanks Shawn!I’m compelled to write you and let you know that without a doubt, you are the best instructor I’ve ever seen.
I feel I’m extremely qualified in assessing instruction and without a doubt I can say I’ve never seen anyone so natural in delivering content as you. What a joy to watch your videos on YouTube. Your ability to convey content in simple terms as well as your easy going and humorous personality just make for a great viewing.
I can’t remember how but about 6 months ago I found your videos on YouTube and I’ve just continued to be blown away by each one of them. Not only by the awesome knowledge on golf that I’m getting about the swing but by your teaching approach. Wow, Shawn, what a gift! I hope to be retiring in about 5 years at age 63 and I would like to get involved with my passion of golf and couple that with my love for instruction. I hope at some point that I’m able to get to Toronto and spend a few hours with you.
Thanks again for the You Tube videos. You’re doing a great job and providing a great service for the game. I believe that you are on the beginning of a hell of a fun journey coming up.
Sincerely,
Bob Bailey

Hello from Japan!
I've been working with and through your
DVDs and online material since earlier
in the year and things have started to
come together.
I bettered my best by seven strokes to shoot
an 83 the other day, quite an accomplishment
after so many hours of practice over the past
three years.
Thank you for the solid instruction. The short game
stuff has been especially helpful. So 'simple'.
Best wishes and hope to
send you news of further successes.

Making Sense!
Shawn,
Thanks for the logical, clear and professional explanations of the golf swing. I have watched most of your YouTube videos and recently purchased the new DVD set-which I have watched twice completely.
After playing for 30 years, your "method" has me rethinking and reconstructing my golf swing and hitting it better! I am telling my buddies about you and encouraging them to watch your YouTube stuff and pick up some pointers.
When I head to the computer, my wife jokes and asks if I am "Going to spend time with Shawn?!" Didn’t know you were on a first name basis with my wife did you??!!
In closing, great stuff and keep up the good work!

Dear Shawn,
I wanted to send you a brief note about Allen Panuncio. When I was looking for someone to work with my son (age 7 at the time) to develop his golf game, I kept hearing Allen's name from friends. The praise that we heard about his patience with kids, enthusiasm for the game & expertise has been tremendously accurate. In fact, I have not even begun to explain the effect he has had on the whole family. Given our son's enthusiasm for the game fostered by Allen's twice weekly lessons, my husband has started playing again after a twenty year hiatus. And much to my surprise, I started playing, and love it! We have all benefited from Allen's excellent tutelage. Sadly, we are away from Toronto this coming academic year, but look forward to Allen's lessons when we return.

Shawn,
In February of this year I began rigorously watching most of your videos on YouTube. I watched the Proper Grip, How to Clear the Hips and Tilted Spiral series MANY times. I began the year a 20 handicap and most of my scores were in the high 90’s with the occasional 100+. Well three weeks ago something clicked. The grip and hip turn have allowed me to shoot 86, 80, 77, 83 & 84 my last five rounds. All could have been better but for a couple of shots and several lip outs. My driving distance has gone from 210 to 250, my 7 iron from 130 to 145. You are by far the best instructor that I have ever seen on YouTube or live.
Thank you for sharing these tips for free!! I wish I lived near Canada so I could take a lesson from you. If you ever vacation on Hilton Head I would be honored to treat you to a day of golf.
Thanks again,

Hi Shawn,
I’ve been watching and studying your YouTube video clips every day for the last 4 or 5 days. I can’t stop watching them. I have come across some of your video clips before, but I never really looked at and understood your teaching method and the whole picture. On occasion, I just watched one of your clips here and there, along with many other YouTube video tips from other pros and teachers, when I’ve done a search on a specific aspect of the swing. I just looked at your videos as tips like all the others. But I have now come to realize that you truly know and understand the golf swing and the biomechanics of it better than anybody, and I mean that. The golf swing is really so logical and not that difficult to get your head around, after watching your teaching. Your analogies are spot on and really help with the understanding, and your enthusiasm and energy in teaching is contagious.
I’ve been to the range three times, and the change for me is nothing short of remarkable. I have amazed myself with my ball striking, distance, and direction. I am ten yards longer with every club. I have caught myself saying out loud to myself, “Wow”, “Holy Cow”, “That’s unbelievable”, and “I can’t believe it”. The penetrating ball flight with my fairway woods and driver are blistering. And I can now hit my 3- and 4-irons the same way. With slight tweaks of the club face and ball position, I am even able to control ball flight, working the ball with a fade and a draw. Darn it, I just wish I knew what I know now 20 years ago. Can’t wait to get on the course. I am thinking about taking some vacation and coming to your golf academy to get some lessons straight from the master.
For me personally, it has been all about the two “Braced Tilt” videos and the three “Tilted Spiral” videos. I haven’t gotten down using the principles of momentum and gravity because I have always been a “hitter” of the golf ball, and like you said in one of your videos, I sometimes go past the “red line”.
Thanks again, and I can’t wait to get your video.

Hi Shawn,
I just wanted to drop you a personal note to say thank you for the clips you have put on to youtube. You don't know me (in fact i live the other side of the pond) but I discovered your videos for the first time 2 weeks ago when after a 'great' bunker lesson i went back to the range and started shanking - typical golf some might say!
I went through quite a few of the videos that evening and took away a few key thoughts:
- left hand grip as you hold an umbrella
- stick your arse into the 'next county'
- think of the whole unit as 'a crane with a wrecking ball'
- let gravity do the downswing for you
- think 'out of the way, out of the way'
I'm one of those golfers who has always struggled with the technical aspects of the swing (the way most teachers teach) e.g. v shape pointing somewhere, wrist hinge. What I really love is your simple swing thoughts and analogies you use which has always been the way i prefer to learn.
Anyway over the last couple of weeks I have taken these thoughts to the range and the course and am hitting it better than ever - i am now taking small shallow divots on my short irons (something i have never done), am hitting it straight and i shot a 77 on Sunday which is my best score by far for some time. I actually feel I am swinging the club and not hitting at the ball. This is all down to your videos and again i just want to say thanks. Thanks to you, I (and i am sure many others around the world) am enjoying my golf again and I appreciate the effort that must go in to making those video clips. Keep up the good work.
All the best

Gentlemen, let me introduce myself. My name is Boris Prokomenko from Brantford Ontario. I am a 63 year old man who took up golf ten years ago. I have found the challenge of a lifetime. I have become very passionate about taking up this challenge and have tried many golf instructors, styles of teaching, styles of golf swings, teaching aids and DVDs. I have to say that it has been a sometimes frustrating and disappointing journey until I heard about this guy Shawn Clement at the Richmond Hill Golf Club.
I signed up for some lessons at the beginning of this year. I was very impressed by both of your facilities and all they had to offer. Truly a world class organization! Congratulations to you and your team. I was treated in a very warm and professional manner by everyone I met.
Well, I finally got to meet Shawn and his larger-than-life passion for teaching. His teaching style and methodology is truly one of a kind. He is a master of easy to understand analogies. The most impressive part is that my golf swing has improved dramatically in such a short period of time. The swing he is promoting is so much more intuitive and natural and free of the usual contortions and clutter of mechanical checkpoints that his peers are teaching. I also had an opportunity to watch Shawn giving lessons to others while I was waiting for my lessons. He never ceases to amaze me that he puts the same high energy passion into every lesson all day long.
I would also be remiss if I did not say something about his assistant Donna. She always conducted herself in a pleasant, efficient and professional manner.
I cannot say enough good things about your staff, facilities and programs.
Thanks,
Boris Prokomenko

Hi Shawn and greetings from the home of golf!
I was recently interviewed by 'Bunkered' magazine which is Scotland's only home produced golf magazine. I was asked a wide variety of questions in the 'Soapbox' section of the magazine and one of the questions I was asked was 'When was the last time you had a golf lesson?' I replied as follows: My last lesson was three years ago and was part of a series of lessons I had with a variety of pros. Conflicting advice has steered me away from lessons now. My game has improved immensely due to the video clips on the web site of Canadian pro Shawn Clement.'
So there you have it Shawn, some publicity for you in Scotland and I sincerely hope that a number of golfers now hit your pages and benefit from your teaching the way I have. (As long as they are not playing with me!) You have enabled me to enjoy my golf so much and I now - more often than not - play with a smile on my face. In October, I played at Cawder Golf Club on the Championship course with a good mate who is a member there. This course has an awesome reputation. I managed to get three birdies and on one of the holes, after taking three off the tee, I put my fourth shot five feet from the pin and sank my putt!! I'm a Depute Head in a Secondary School and the golfers on the staff are going on a golf outing in May. I've been told that I'm not being allowed to go unless I'm prepared to take a handicap of at least 18. I was 25 before it lapsed and then I discovered your web site!!
Thanks for the time you spend - generously and freely - to help us mere mortals deepen our knowledge of the game and enjoy it so much more. Let the season now begin!!!

Hello Shawn,
Obviously I wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Thank for being such an avid teacher that you posted so many comprehensive videos on YouTube.
I have been playing golf for many years and, at best, I am a bogey or bit better golfer. Just recently (the past month and a half) I lost my game completely. Over the weekend a friend of mine from Ohio and I were discussing my "challenges" and he said without seeing me swing it sounded like I wasn't clearing my hips. My first thought was to see what was on the Internet that might help me understand what exactly that meant and how do I do it. That is how I happened upon your videos.
I watched a few of the videos specific to getting your body out of the way of the swing. Well, I just finished playing 18 this evening and so many things went right and my confidence quickly returned.
The three areas I keyed in were:
1. Getting my body to turn with the swing.
2. Anchoring myself through the arches of my feet.
3. Using the turn as I was chipping.
The results were immediate and amazing. I made clean contact with the ball and was able to maintain my balance throughout the swing. I shot a 93 and had more fun on the course than I had in recent weeks
Your teaching methods are clear, simple, and easy to apply. I can't wait to view more of your collection and even better, get back on the course to improve on what you have taught me. I have already shared your name with many of my friends and like me, I am sure that they will quickly become a fan.
Thanks again for everything. Keep the videos coming, I need them!
All the best.

Shawn,
I am so grateful for your latest YouTube video on the body turn with arm swing. NO ONE - I mean, not one golf instructor, until you - has ever explained the dynamics of the body turn as effectively as you have. This video will change my game dramatically. Thanks! By the way, I did break 100 earlier this year. I played in Sun City, Arizona, with my dad. It was nice playing in drier conditions. Once I got back to Indiana, it was "mud ball city" on the course here. I continue to play your DVD’s and YouTube videos every week. I will be getting some hands-on instruction here in June (once my schedule clears). Thanks for all you do. Looking forward to communicating with you more often.
Truly, you saved me from giving up the game last spring!

Hi Shawn hope you're well,
Thank you for your reply with regards the DVD’s can't wait to get them.
I like many, many other golf enthusiasts, feel like we owe you a huge debt of gratitude for transforming our game.
I would consider myself a golf instruction junkie and have been constantly looking for the system or nugget of information which will improve my game and take it to the next level. I believe I have now, at long last, found that with your YouTube videos.
I was lucky enough to stumble across them one day whilst surfing the net and I have virtually watched nothing else since. I find your teaching method to be informative, easy to follow and best of all FUN and IT WORKS!!
I have seen my ball striking improve no end, although like most amateurs, I still perform the odd horror shot but at least now I know that the likely cause will be my posture is breaking down.
I have purchased your DVD to a) repay you in some kind of way for improving my game and making it more enjoyable and b) to get the whole technique from start to finish as I worry I've not seen a video which could prove vital.
I seem to make better contact with the ball when I keep most of my weight on my left side (with a tilt to the right) at address and throughout the swing and seem to remember starting to do this after watching one of your videos but I can't seem to find that video again and am beginning to think I dreamt it!
Am I doing this correctly or when you say a braced left side, do you just mean it doesn't collapse and that the weight should be evenly distributed?
My apologies, I did not send this email to ask a question. I merely wanted to offer my sincere thanks for the time and effort you have put in to help happy hackers like me improve their enjoyment of this wonderful game.
I look forward very much to receiving the DVD's and doing them justice when next I'm on the local links at Carnoustie.
Thanks again,
David Halkerston
