Kids Summer Golf Camps

We have 2 divisions for Juniors in our Learning Centre:

Junior Golf Academy

Here kids learn all the basics of the game of golf in a fun and safe environment. They will rotate between our driving range, large putting green and pitching area where they will learn the true fundamentals of the set-up (grip, stance, posture and ball position) and the swing (backswing, through impact and finish) both for full shots and short shots. Topics such as rules and etiquette of the game are taught in order to prepare them for a real on course experience. We have the kids work in teams to give them a sense of belonging and motivation for each challenge.

Monday through Wednesday of each week we work diligently to prepare them for their 9 holes of golf on Thursday where they get out of the course with our coaches to supervise them. Friday is a great day of competition and fun in the same style as the Drive, Chip and Putt you see on the Golf Channel.

Elite Junior Golf Academy

When we see that your child has the ability and skills to play on a regulation golf course (they strike the ball in the air over 100 yards consistently) then we can enroll them in our Elite Junior Academy. If you wish to begin your child here, we will need to set up an evaluation with one of our senior instructors to make sure your child is ready as this can be very stressful for a child who isn’t. The instruction is more advanced and the goal is to get them ready for tournament play, as many of our Elite students play in CJGA events over the course of the summer.

Here we start the day earlier (8:00 AM Start) with a 30 minute warm-up on the driving range. From there, the kids head out on to the course with one of our instructors for 9 holes of golf (2.5 hours). The senior instructor evaluates their strengths and weaknesses and prescribes a practice session for post round at 11:00 a.m.. At noon, the kids will head back to the Country Club to join the regular golf camp for lunch and afternoon activities where they will participate in a variety of different sports including swimming, baseball, basketball, tennis, and many more.

Registration for both divisions takes place at the Richmond Hill Country Club and the details for contact are below. Both divisions will benefit from our investment in a variety of top training aids including Video Analysis, Launch Monitor and Dynamic Balance System. Youngsters will be placed by age and ability into each program so please indicate on the enrollment form which one you wish your child to experience.

The Richmond Hill Country Club (RHCC) Day Camp is located on acres of lush greenery which offers the perfect setting for a camp. As well as the beautiful natural environment that the area has to offer, the RHCC Day Camp also includes fabulous facilities such as an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, an indoor gymnasium, three indoor play rooms, two outdoor playgrounds and an outdoor basketball court.
